Engage

The Stakeholder Scheme enables churches to partner with a Crosslinks means of mission. It is through such partnerships that the local church can engage in God’s agenda, by extending their focus beyond their local boundary and onto the ends of the earth.

Crosslinks will support the stakeholder church and its gospel partnership with a means of mission. Dedicated staff will provide everything from information and advice on appropriate partners, through to a whole parish consultation on the biblical idea of koinonia and mission strategy.

God’s priority is the salvation that comes through the gospel. The Crosslinks Stakeholder Scheme is a vehicle for the local church to become involved in authentic gospel work across the globe, with Crosslinks offering its extensive experience in delivering the strategic planning, teaching, administration, pastoral and prayer support demanded by such work.

Who could we partner with?

There are four means of mission that the Stakeholder Scheme offers partnership with.

  1. Mission Partners
Crosslinks currently has helped churches send, and partner with, some 100 mission partners, working in around 25 countries. At the front line of cross-cultural mission, they need the steadfast partnership of home churches.
  2. Theological Study Partners (BEST)
BEST (Bursaries Enabling Strategic Training) is a scheme that sponsors the theological education of gospel workers, in their own cultural context. It’s enormously encouraging for a Study Partner to have such a partnership with a church, not simply knowing that they will receive regular support, but also forging a two-way relationship which benefits both study partner and church.
  3. Mission Projects
A Mission Project could be an appropriate way to give your church greater involvement in mission. Crosslinks selects a number of projects that have Crosslinks’ principles at their heart – gospel proclamation, or the training of bible teachers. Because of the varying size and cost of such projects, even a smaller church can have a large stake in such work.
  4. Biblical Training (SBTs)
Schools of Biblical Training (SBTs) are a week’s bible handling training, given by UK trainers, in the recipients home country. Each has the essential elements of: modelling expository preaching; plenary sessions, such as a Bible Overview; students putting the teaching into practice individually and in small groups.

Invitation to preach

We have found that churches benefit most when an invitation to preach is combined with a mission consultation.

Neither the mission consultation nor the sermon would be used to advertise Crosslinks, but we would welcome an opportunity to explain the role of Crosslinks elsewhere in the service.
