God’s agenda is for his salvation to reach to the ends of the earth (Isaiah 49:6). In Isaiah 66, we read that God’s mission is a gathering together of people to proclaim his glory amongst those nations who have not seen or heard.

The last verse of Isaiah is a devastating picture of God’s judgement being poured out on those who have lived in rebellion against him. It’s no wonder then, as we pick up the story in Luke 19, that Jesus’ mission is a clear one: to seek and to save the lost.

So the priority of any Christian, and therefore any local church, is surely to get on board with Jesus’ mission, by playing our role in his saving work, by proclaiming to the ends of the earth: the good news of God’s salvation.

But how do you go about it?

For a church that takes this responsibility seriously, it will mean discovering what the Bible teaches about God’s agenda for His world, exploring how to get more involved, and putting it all into practice through seeking to share the gospel locally, and through partnering with those engaged in the same work further afield.

A great way to start this process is with a Crosslinks Mission Consultation »

Invitation to preach

We have found that churches benefit most when an invitation to preach is combined with a mission consultation.

Neither the mission consultation nor the sermon would be used to advertise Crosslinks, but we would welcome an opportunity to explain the role of Crosslinks elsewhere in the service.
